Students 4 Peace (S4P) is hosting Rock 4 Peace, a unique night of entertainment to promote social activism among students throughout the greater Boston area and to commemorate the 7th annual International Peace day on September 21st. Through a revolutionary collaboration with Mass Power Shift, Alliance for Middle East Peace, HeadCount, and the March of Washingtons campaign, Rock 4 Peace will focus on promoting environmental awareness, peace in the Middle East, the fight against Malaria and will do its part to involve the youth vote in the upcoming elections by registering voters in partnership with HeadCount. Rock 4 Peace is a student-run initiative with students coming together from many schools in the Boston-Cambridge area. Students and community members citywide will experience a night of music, dance, food and inspirational speeches from students and NGO leaders. This year Rock 4 Peace will benefit the pediatric wards of Al-Rea’ayeh Al-Arabia Hospital in Ramallah and Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. Funds will also be raised for the fight against Malaria with the March of Washingtons awareness campaign in which the crowd will be photographed raising a one Dollar bill that shows George Washington who has had the Malaria disease.
