Newsroom

Students 4 Peace, (S4P), has created a newsroom team that includes journalists, editors, reviewers, opinion writers, fiction writers and photographers.

In Boston and around the world, people are working to promote peace, coexistence and the improvement of the environment and life in general. Unfortunately, mainstream media tends to overlook and ignore positive events and initiatives, including from areas of conflict.

S4P’s goal is to expose our community to positive news occurring around the world and locally. By writing about what students, organizations and individuals are doing here in Boston and around the world, we are bringing hope and inspiring more progressive actions toward the achievement of peace and coexistence.

We are highlighting such activities and giving them exposure by sharing articles and news stories. We are including film and book reviews that focus on the same themes. We are also featuring stories and poetry that promote positive thinking. In addition, we post articles from different media outlets.

We have divided the newsroom into seven sections: international news, national news, local news, environmental awareness, reviews, opinion columns and creative writing. There are also response boxes where readers can comment on or respond to the articles and contact the writers as long as they are registered users on the S4P site.

A bi-monthly e-newsletter is sent out to our members and subscribers with links to articles on the site.
